UPENDS UP9 35,000 Puff Disposable: Complete Guide (Battery & Pods)
The UPENDS UP9 is the flagship of the UPENDS range: a rechargeable disposable vape kit rated for up to 35,000 puffs, built around a replaceable pod system so you keep one battery instead of throwing away entire devices. This guide covers how the system works, what to expect from real-world usage, and how to buy it in South Africa. For adults aged 18 and over.
What is in the UP9 kit?
The UP9 35,000-puff disposable vape kit includes the rechargeable battery unit and a prefilled pod to get you started. Everything else is handled by two replacement parts:
- UP9 replacement pods - the prefilled pod that carries the e-liquid and coil. When a pod is finished, you swap it; the battery stays.
- UP9 replacement battery - sold separately, useful if you want a second device to rotate while one charges.
How long does the UP9 actually last?
The 35,000-puff rating assumes short, moderate draws. Real-world expectations:
- Light use (100-150 puffs/day): roughly 4-8 weeks per pod cycle.
- Moderate use (200-300 puffs/day): around 2-4 weeks.
- Heavy use (400+ puffs/day): one to two weeks.
Because the battery is rechargeable via USB-C, the usual failure point of ordinary disposables - a battery that dies with liquid still inside - does not apply here. You recharge and keep going until the pod itself is empty.
Why a pod system beats sealed sticks
With a sealed 35,000-puff stick you pay full price for a new device every time. With the UP9, the battery is the durable part and pods are the consumable - so after the first kit, your ongoing cost is only replacement pods. Over a year of moderate vaping, that difference compounds quickly.

Frequently asked questions
Is the UP9 rechargeable?
Yes. The battery charges over USB-C, which is essential for a high-puff device - especially in South Africa where load shedding makes a reliable battery non-negotiable.
Which pod fits the UP9?
Use the dedicated UP9 replacement pod (35,000 puffs). Pods from other UPENDS lines are not cross-compatible.
What nicotine strength is the UP9?
The UP9 uses a 50mg/ml (5%) nicotine salt formulation. Full specifications are on the product page.
Is the UP9 genuine if bought here?
Yes - this is the official UPENDS South Africa store, so all stock is factory-direct and authentic.
